"Universal Ground" addresses the space between heaven and earth, where the element of the mind seems to exist. Suvinai Ashoona works from her Inuit background and looks, literally, to the ground for inspiration.

Drawings depicting the expansive North, pebbles covering the barren ground are set in contrast to John Noestheden's representations of starry skies, supernovas and meteors. His choices of material are literally glittering from thousands of silver crystals suggesting a conceptual approach to the organisation of matter into poetry.

On display are also a selection of early drawings by New York based, Canadian artist Marcel Dzama where each image bears the influence of Inuit art making that mimics the expansive white spaces of the Arctic.
